active creative transformation!
From Insight to Impact: Creative Neuroscience for Performers
What is ACT!?
Active Creative Transformation is the only composite life-changing approach based on neuroscience and studies on aesthetic perception, specifically designed and developed for creatives and performers. ACT! brings together the fundamental characteristics of today’s four major help services models: consulting, coaching, counselling and psychotherapy, which make it a true all-in-one healing path.
It is a linear transformative path of psychological techniques and methodologies, characterised by two main stages which ultimately lead the client to a transformative personal change! The initial stage is designed to guide the client towards a resolution of the identified problems, generally caused by constraining beliefs, emotional blockages and old misleading mental models, by uncovering early history and identifying all parts of the self. In the second stage career and life objectives are identified and achieved by building awareness and empowering choices.
Semantic analysis of the acronym: ACT!
active creative transformation!
Active: unlike many therapeutic techniques and methodologies, ACT! establishes a relationship of continuous exchange, thus crediting the client with a constant active role and a position of power within the relationship.
Creative: ACT’s distinctive feature is its inherent creative approach.
The entire process of personal transformation provides, in fact, the use of sensitive and cognitive stimuli, also in its synaesthetic interpretation, through the use of form, sound and colour as a medium for artistic expression and the client’srelated perceptive processing.
Transformation: ACT’s goal is ultimately to trigger in the client a perpetual process of personal discovery and revolutionary insight that produces radical change and inspires towards an entirely different level of self-determination and consequent achievement of one’s desires and objectives: a transformative personal change.
!: the exclamation mark at the end of the acronym wishes to emphasise in ACT! the presence and importance of the values this punctuation mark holds: emotion, feeling and expression of subjectivity. It also incorporates three distinct functions: that of signalling an emphasising tone, the importance of acting promptly in taking care of one’s self and, finally, the highlighting of the dynamic qualities and effectiveness of the entire transformative personal change process.
Who is ACT! for?
Being personally linked to the world of the performing arts and having therefore had the opportunity to fully understand the issues that characterise the activities and lives of performers and more generally of creatives, I developed ACT! as a composite transformative approach designed to address the difficulties and problems of this particular environment. Nonetheless, ACT! summarises the main features of the major personal help services that are popular today, making it ultimately a comprehensive and powerful therapeutic tool that is suitable for anyone who wants to change, grow and better themselves, for anyone who wants to improve their physical, mental and emotional health.
